Show Customer Appreciation with Newsletters

Posted: 29 Jun 2015 05:33 AM PDT

Showcasing your customers in your print newsletters is a great way to express customer appreciation. Not only that, but featuring customers in your newsletters also helps you promote your products and services with real-world examples – the kind of examples other potential customers can relate to. The following lists five ways you can show customer appreciation with newsletter printing.

1. Case studies

Ask your best customers for permission to publish their stories as case studies in your newsletter. Start by presenting the problem your customers have, how you solved it, and what their results were. In short, tell their stories. This is a particularly good customer appreciation strategy for B2B businesses since it introduces your customers to a new audience of potential buyers.

2. Interviews

Publish customer interviews in your newsletter to lend insight into how your solution has helped others. Keep interviews brief and only publish the most poignant questions and answers (for example, "5 Questions with CUSTOMER NAME."). This strategy is good for both B2B and B2C companies and allows you to focus on one particular aspect of your solution that resonates with a niche audience.

3. Testimonials

Do you regularly receive thank-you notes and good reviews? Publish them as testimonials in your newsletter. Ask your best or most prominent customers to offer testimonials, then print their statements along with their photos and a brief bio. Be sure to collect testimonials that cover specific benefits. For example, don't print testimonials that say "ABC is the best company ever;" instead, print testimonials that say something like "ABC helped me identify inefficiencies and increase profits by 30 percent."

4. In-action photos

Print photos of your customers using your products and services. Most people love to receive recognition in print, so they'll be happy to send photos for your newsletter. You could spotlight a different customer every newsletter; or, print a photo collage page each month featuring your best or most creative customer photos. If you need more photos, launch a photo contest with an attractive incentive to fill your newsletter with outstanding customer photos.

5. Simple thank-you

Last but not least, often a simple "thank you" printed in your newsletter is all you need to show customer appreciation. Again, be specific: if you can mention something unique about each customer you thank, it will help demonstrate how much you care about your customers. For example: "Thank you to CUSTOMER NAME for letting us install a new gas range… we're honored to help her get back to baking her famous apple pies!"

Expressing customer appreciation isn't always about rewards; simple recognition for your customers is often all you need to show customers you care. Newsletters are excellent vehicles for showing customer appreciation, so start planning your next print newsletter now!

Show Customer Appreciation with Calendars

Posted: 25 Jun 2015 05:41 AM PDT

time-481444_640-Optimized

Are you looking for a great way to express customer appreciation and still market your brand, products, and services? The following details how you can accomplish both goals with calendar printing.

Calendars are useful

The best thing about calendars is that they're useful to your customers; despite the digital age, many families continue to mark important dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, and appointments on printed calendars. Moreover, you can offer seasonal tips on your calendar pages to help your customers. For example, a mechanic might offer safe winter driving and winter tune-up tips for December. s

Calendars are statement pieces

Not only are calendars useful in a practical sense, they can also serve as statement pieces for your customers. Print calendars that feature photos or artwork your customers will proudly display each month. An auto mechanic might print calendars featuring classic cars, for example; or a pet store might print calendars featuring cute kittens and puppies.

Calendars can offer additional value

You can strategically place value-added discount coupons or coupon codes throughout your catalogs. A hardware store might print calendars featuring discounts on snow shovels in the winter and rakes in the fall, for example. Your deals should be exclusive to those who receive your calendars, and can offer extra incentive for customers to display your calendars.

Calendars market and brand daily

No other marketing tool is as effective as getting your brand in front of customers 365 days per year. Calendars aren't the cheapest items to print upfront, but their cost per-view is perhaps the cheapest of all marketing. What better way to make your brand a household name and express customer appreciation by giving them something useful they already want? Start planning your calendars now!

Show Customer Appreciation with a Loyalty Rewards Card

Posted: 22 Jun 2015 06:05 AM PDT

2983197457_e60fa913b6_b-Optimized

Demonstrating appreciation for your customers is a great way to foster long-term loyalty, and one of the best ways to show customer appreciation is to print loyalty rewards cards. A loyalty rewards card is perfect for businesses that receive a lot of repeat business: retailers and restaurants, for example, but also service-based companies such as carpet cleaners and mechanics. The great thing about a loyalty rewards card is that it not only shows customers you care, it can also help you earn more business from your most loyal patrons. The following demonstrates how to show customer appreciation with a loyalty rewards card.

Develop your loyalty reward offer

The best loyalty reward offers grant customers a desirable incentive to make multiple purchases. Your incentive should be something your customers want; it should have value, but you should still be able to profit from the rewards program. For example, a coffee shop might print loyalty rewards cards that grant customers a free cup of coffee after ten purchases. In this scenario, the coffee shop's cost of the free cup is absorbed by part of the profit from the previous ten sales.

Loyalty rewards cards are win-win: you get repeat business, and customers get a price break or freebie they already want or need.

Design and print loyalty rewards cards

Once you've determined your loyalty reward offer, the next step is to design and print your loyalty rewards cards. Loyalty rewards cards are typically the size of business cards, which makes them easy to carry. In fact, you're essentially printing business cards designed as loyalty rewards cards.

Your design should be attention-getting and exciting; showcase the reward your customers get on the front of your card. You might want to place relevant icons on your card that can be punched or stamped whenever a customer makes a purchase (make sure your punch or stamp is unique so you can identify it as yours).

You want your loyalty rewards cards to last, so print them on a premium paper stock that matches the look and feel of your brand. Options include 14 or 16 point gloss, 13 point recycled matte, and 15 point velvet.

You might also want to consider setting your loyalty rewards cards apart by printing them on uncoated paper stocks (to make it easy to stamp or write on them), folded business cards (which allow you place extra marketing information on your cards), or ultra business cards (which are extra thick and feature a colored band around the outside edge).

Distribute your loyalty rewards cards

Once you print your loyalty rewards cards, it's time to put them to work. Start by handing your cards out to every customer; you can also give them away to everyone you meet outside of your business location. See if you can partner with non-competing businesses who share your customer base to place your loyalty rewards cards on their counters and vice versa. You can also consider sending your loyalty rewards cards via direct-mail, particularly to an in-house mailing list comprised of your best customers.

Track your response

Finally, be sure to keep all the loyalty rewards cards customers turn in so you can track your response rate. Knowing how many customers complete your rewards program will help you determine whether your campaign is effective and whether customers feel appreciated enough to buy in.

Loyalty rewards card printing is one way to show customer appreciation, especially if it's part of a dedicated effort to make sure your customers know how much you value their business. Best of all, loyalty rewards cards can help you earn more money in the process. Print loyalty rewards cards for your customers today!

Show Customer Appreciation with a Members-Only Catalog

Posted: 18 Jun 2015 03:07 AM PDT

girl-791651_640-Optimized

When your customers feel appreciated, they'll reward you with loyalty. If you sell retail products, a members-only catalog can help your best customers feel appreciated and not only reward them with great products at special prices, but also boost your own bottom line. The following details how retailers can increase business and show customer appreciation with members-only catalogs.

Set the stage

Start by creating a special VIP club and offer membership to your best customers. Make it free and easy to join – have customers fill out a response card and mail it in, sign up at the register, or join via an online form. Print brochures that reveal the benefits of joining your VIP club, including your members-only catalog.

Find out what your best customers want

Conduct service and polls – or just make a few phone calls – to find out what your best customers want. Do they want better pricing? A unique selection? Help choosing the right products? The more you know about what your customers want, the better you can position your VIP catalog to offer value above and beyond your "normal" catalog or other sales and marketing materials.

Plan and print your catalog

Your members-only catalog should incorporate what you learned from your customers, including:

  • an exclusive selection not available to the rest of your customers
  • discount prices not available anywhere else
  • helpful content that helps customers make smart purchasing decisions
  • customer showcases or mini-case studies that highlight real customer problems and how you've solved them

Exclusivity lends itself to long-term loyalty, so design your catalog in a way that differentiates itself from typical direct-mail catalogs. Focus on helpful content and featuring customers as well as your solutions to demonstrate your commitment to serving your customer versus simply making a sale. Your catalog doesn't have to be huge – just a few pages is fine, so long as the content they contain is valuable.

Make sure customers know they're receiving this catalog because they're VIP club members and that no non-members have access to the products and/or deals you're offering. Of course, you should only make your special products or discounts available for a limited time to motivate quick sales – or, you can position your catalog to offer VIP club members "first dibs" before you open your products or deals to the rest of your customer base.

Consider printing your members-only catalogs on special paper stock, such as 70 lb. matte recycled text with a 15-point velvet cover, to add an air of prestige and exclusivity.

Customers like to know they're special, and a members-only catalog is a great way to express customer appreciation while also increasing sales and loyalty. Print your members-only catalogs today!

Show Customer Appreciation with Greeting Cards

Posted: 15 Jun 2015 05:49 AM PDT

000740-Optimized

Jerry Gregoire called the customer experience a competitive battleground, a poignant thought for today's small businesses and marketers: with so many competitors vying for your customers' business, you must give your customers an outstanding experience if you want to earn their long-term loyalty. One great way to enhance customers' experience is to express your appreciation for their business, and greeting cards are perfect ways to show customer appreciation.

Why greeting cards are perfect for customer appreciation

Greeting cards are perfect customer appreciation tools because:

  • they're personalized (you can even add in handwritten notes), so they're meaningful
  • they're tangible – customers actually hold them in their hands
  • they can deliver special deals provided only to your best customers
  • they're cheap to print and mail
  • they're often unexpected, differentiating you from competitors

Nearly everyone feels special and appreciated when they receive a greeting card, which enhances the customer experience and makes customers feel good about doing business with you.

How to show customer appreciation with greeting cards

Start by designing a greeting card that showcases your brand and features large "thank-you" text. The PsPrint Design Library offers several free thank-you greeting card templates you can customize with your own logo, text, and other elements. Print your greeting cards on attractive paper stock, but leave the inside panels uncoated so you can write on them with a pen and tailor your message of appreciation to each individual customer.

Print plenty of thank-you greeting cards so you have them on-hand to send when:

  • you land a new customer
  • you want to check in on a customer
  • you want to send holiday greetings
  • you want to let your customers know you value them and are here to help

The best strategy is to send individual greeting cards as-needed; that way, you can add a personal handwritten note. However, if you want to mass mail hundreds or thousands of potential customers you might not have the capacity to include a handwritten note in each greeting card; in this case, use a script font or your signature scanned and converted to a digital image to "sign" your greeting cards. Doing so makes your greeting card appear more personalized, even if it's obvious you didn't actually sign it.

Show customer appreciation by:

  • thanking your customers and telling them how much you appreciate them
  • telling them you're here to help with any questions they might have
  • offering a discount, freebie, or invitation to a special event (not a sales event, unless there is some real benefit just for showing up)
  • giving individual customers personalized gifts: do you have a customer who loves wine? Send a greeting card along with the latest vintage from a local winery, for example. Have a customer who loves baseball? Send a greeting card with tickets to an upcoming game

Keep in mind the goal of expressing customer appreciation with greeting cards is not to solicit direct sales; rather, it's to thank your customers and build relationships. The long-term rewards realized over a lifetime of customer loyalty far outweigh the initial investment, even if that return is delayed.

Want to boost your brand image and show your customers some love? Start your greeting card customer appreciation campaign now!

5 Great Ways to Use Folded Business Cards

Posted: 11 Jun 2015 05:41 AM PDT

000736-Optimized

Folded business card by Muhammad Gohar Shafique

Folded business cards double your marketing real estate, but what should you do with the extra space? Put it to work for you, of course, with the following five great ways to use folded business cards.

1. Online lead generation

Having two extra panels on your business cards makes it easy to include a special promotion that generates leads or even direct sales. Come up with an incentive to drive targeted customers to your website to sign up for your email newsletter or  a social media page to like or follow. A real estate agent, for example, might print a useful home buying and contract negotiation booklet; then use the inside panels of their folded business cards to create desire for guide and motivate customers to go online to get it free after submitting their email addresses.

000737-Optimized

2. Appointment reminder cards

You've seen appointment reminder business cards at the doctor's office, but doctors aren't the only type of professionals who can use this type of folded business card to their advantage. Salespeople, for example, could print folded business cards in which the inside panels feature date and times that can be circled to set appointments. When they schedule follow-up meetings, they can circle the dates and times, fold their business cards so the appointment reminder can be placed on a desktop (like a table tent), and give them to prospects. The tangible reminder makes it more likely prospects will keep their appointments.

3. Mini-catalogs

Turn the inside panels of your folded business cards into mini-catalogs to motivate potential customers to follow up. Feature best, top-selling, flagship-type products; or, print a panel of add-ons that complement a product you're already well-known for. Showcase two or three products per panel and encourage customers to go online to learn more or buy. Consider adding a coupon code to sweeten the deal.

000738-Optimized

4. Coupons

Folded business cards are perfect for handing out coupons. Turn the back panels into a coupon and have your printer perforate the seam so the back is easy to tear off. In this manner customers can cash in on your coupon and still keep your business card for future reference.

5. Branding

The inside and back panels of your folded business cards can help you brand your company; use them to tell the story of your company in a way that resonates with customers, share your business and product/service philosophy, give a quick tour of your facility, or otherwise show customers why your brand was created specifically to serve them. When customers identify with your brand, they're loyal buyers.

Don't miss a great opportunity to make your business cards more powerful – print folded business cards today!
